In Pierre Labosierre beats the heart of Haiti. He lives the preferential option for the poor. He favors freedom, shuns praise, walks in solidarity with the sureness of step that comes from living a life of service. He is hope and hero in Haiti.

Courageous and tenacious, Pierre leads by example. Humble and generous, he inspires, motivates and supports the timid to action. Haitian to the core, he never fails to stand in solidarity with lovers of peace (with justice) any and everywhere. I am grateful for this special opportunity to say thank to a beautiful human being: our beloved brother Pierre Labossiere. Gouvènè Lawouze, mwen di AYIBOBO pou ou paske, tout bon vre, ou se bon Ginen!

Pierre LaBossiere has always aided everyone within his reach, and has travelled home to bring aid and inspiration to his community in Haiti. For many years he has been the human- and civil-rights advocate for the Haitian community in the Bay Area. Whenever Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights needed help, whether interpreting with an asylum seeker or in providing aid to a refugee getting resettled, Pierre has come forward to help.

I have known Pierre for at least 15 years+. He has inspired so many to become involved in building a solidarity network for Haiti. He does this not by focusing on himself but by supporting others. He is so a positive and a relentless fighter for justice.

Having join Pierre in many an action, I find him to be an incredibly warm, dedicated, passionate, courageous fighter for human rights and justice in Haiti. He keeps up the struggle for a country and a peoples who certainly gets no justice from the U. S.- a people who face incredible injustice, violence, and hungar.

Pierre LaBoissiere is a dedicated peace and social justice activist. His support for freedom for political prisoners in Haiti and here in the U.S., people such as Mumia Abu-Jamal, is so important!

I know no one in the US who has done more or worked harder for justice in Haiti. Pierre is an inspiration and a mentor to me and to so many others. And he never toots his own horn, so we should toot his for him now!

all kinds of good people. here. better to vote for a person who is active in a place that is off the media radar most of the time where stands for human rights, routinely risk political prison, life, and limb..and keep Haiti on the radar to boot.
